Theme Dinners

Theme dinners are an especially popular event at The Lark. From the ever popular Mexican Fiesta (see photo to left) to the Corleone Soprano Dinner, it's a special treat to attend. They fill up fast, so call well in advance.

25th Annual Russian Feast. A special dinner of the finest cuisine of the Imperial Russian Empire will be presented at 7:00 pm, Monday and Tuesday, March 31st and April 1st. After Czar Peter the Great opened Russia to contact with Western Europe the interplay of cultures blossomed. One small example is that Roederer Cristal Champagne was created at the request of the Czar. More amazing is that the Czars and Russian top-nobility hired the finest French chefs to pamper them and their guests. Wisely, revered Russian dishes were incorporated. Other than the world’s finest caviar, Zakuski was sacrosanct: the custom of nobility to always have a bounteous table in their reception hall of an elaborate hors d’oeuvre presentation to offer visiting nobility as an accompaniment to Vodka or French Champagne. I wish I was there. This history is the basis of what we believe is the finest Russian dinner served in America.

Caspian Sturgeon are endangered species because of their slaughter for short term profits by the Russian mafia. This has led to severe restrictions on the sale of wild caviar by the United Nations Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, causing caviar prices to soar. Pricing for this dinner, therefore, at nominal mark-up would exceed three hundred per person. But, being unwilling to cancel this extraordinary dinner, it is priced at or below cost at $140. This includes the choice of Champagne or Vodka with the caviar and Champagne Cocktail as an interlude, but not other beverages, tax or gratuity. The last date for cancellation or reduction of reservations without charge is March 15th, and it is the obligation of anyone wishing to cancel or reduce a reservation to inform us by that date, not the following week and not when receiving a call to remind you of your reservation.
